The shed-type has a long axis running from the east to the west. It's got a south facing wall glazed to gather maximum quantity of the power from the sun. The northerly facing wall on the other hand is pretty much insulated to avoid heat loss. These features are what contrast a solar greenhouse from the normal ones.
The Quonset type can often look like an underground pit. This is a low cost greenhouse. It has got a Quonset-shaped frame and is like a tunnel. It's got a layer or 2 of plastic film. This could save as much as 40 percent of the heating fuel. They may also be merely attached to the greenhouses, terribly excellent for yard use.
