What do you actually call a home?

There is something entirely distinctive in the meaning attached to the term "home". A humble cottage may be a home but a large beautiful mansion may just be a work of art . The word "house" refers to a place to live whereas this same place when nurtured and cared for turns into a "home".

The sole purpose of using the word "home" is to emphasize on the care and nurturing put into it to transform it from just a layer of bricks and a roof to a place where the family is of prime importance. A house may just refer to brick structure , with a roof , an address an a pin code. A home would refer to almost the same with the distinction of being a place for the family.
